Emmanuel Ghachocha
Chairperson and Director
Is a lawyer with a bachelor of a law degree and an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Subordinate Court save for the Primary Court and a passionate Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) practitioner with hands-on experience in providing a range of endto-end sustainability solutions. Over the last ten years, he has specialized in project management life cycle analysis and management with the sole purpose of making projects in general and investments specifically create shared benefits and do not constitute any form of human rights abuse. Thus, over the years, he has established various specialities in safeguard support systems, project risk analyses, impact assessment, impact management planning, implementation of impact management toolkits, routine monitoring, and termly environmental and social due diligence (ESDD). Emmanuel possesses excellent knowledge of Tanzania’s investment and local content legal framework, Word Bank ESF, and IFCPS5, as well as industry-specific safeguards. He is among the founder members of MAZINGIRA KWANZA FOUNDATION, a Non-Governmental Organisation dealing among others with environmental conservation and management in Tanzania since 2014.
As Community Relationship Coordinator (CRC) for Nyika Capital Limited working for Helium One Company in the early stages of Helium Gas Exploration around Lake Rukwa in Tanzania and Liaison Officer (CLO) for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project working with the contractor, Emmanuel was responsible for community engagement and liaison working with the communities both in Songwe Region around lake Rukwa in Helium One Gas exploration sites and along pipeline corridor with their respective local and central government respectively. As part of the early teams on the ground, he was among the first to use newly developed tools for community engagement specific to the EACOP project. He contributed to the development, testing, and reviews of such tools as grievance mechanisms and databases for project information.
As a lawyer, He further possesses a wide range of knowledge in both Substantive and Procedural law, particularly in Land law, Human Right Law, and labour law where he was involved in Labour Dispute Management inside and outside the Court.
Charles Mpuya

He has working experience in extracurricular activities concerning environmental projects with volunteering practical skills, he has been working with different stakeholders to facilitate environmental projects such as KINGONET from Kisarawe District for the restoration of Kazi Mzumbwi Forest under the Mazingira Kwanza Foundation. In collaboration with KIWAKKUKI Foundation (Kilimanjaro Women Against AIDS) which was founded in 1990 to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in the Kilimanjaro Region, He played a big role as Project Coordinator in combating this pandemic through education counselling and testing, emotional support and medical care, As Coordinator to make sure that the project runs smoothly by tracking project progress and timely communicating its status to management and project members, as well as making sure that project members communicate with each other also Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports regularly to the donor. He is among the founder members of MAZINGIRA KWANZA FOUNDATION, a Non-Governmental Organisation dealing among others with environmental conservation and management in Tanzania since 2014. He is a System Administrator and Analyst who Diploma in Computer Engineering in M.C.S.E from Microsoft (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) and also, he holds Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering in M.C.S.A (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) from Microsoft from International Microsoft College Techno Brain with a long experience in the field of 16 years.
Feliciana Kinabo
Finance Director
She is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce in Corporate Finance and a professional accountant possessing wide experience in different accounting fields including various accounting tools. She has been involved in accounts of minor and major projects, among her skills and experience involved in Managing Provincial Office project accounts and reconciling every month, including all cash and outstanding commitments, ensuring advance tracking and adjustment within the stipulated time. Maintaining and submitting various periodic reports, including budget monitoring reports to the Project Manager. This is done by periodically keeping track of project-related expense transactions and ensuring that all these expenses fall within the agreed budget. She has been Responsible for generating and analyzing monthly reports on actual revenue performance and comparing them with budgeted projections. Preparing bi-monthly expenditure projections for different projects; advising Project managers regarding problem areas. Providing budgeting and forecasting support by generating variance analysis of actual to budgeted results. Prepare monthly cash forecast. Managing the operation of office petty cash, ensuring that adequate security procedures for cash handling are established and maintained. Tracking adjustment of advances and ensuring all advances are settled within stipulated time Ensure purchase orders, quotations, and required documents are maintained and duly attached with purchase vouchers.
Review all submitted invoices, ensure they are checked against all services/goods received before payment, and make sure payments are released after all requisite approvals. Provide clarifications of tax deductions to consultants as and when required. Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and conduct physical verification regularly Liaise with the bank for exchange rates negotiation, transaction verification, office bank accounts replenishment, and responding to any transaction queries. Assist the Finance team based in Oxford, to ensure harmonization with all procedures and systems Provide in-country project finance administration, including raising client invoices and preparing subcontracts and any other related accounting activities.
Kaley Milao
Program Co-ordinator
Kaley Milao is the Program Co-ordinator at Mazingira Kwanza Foundation. She has worked with one of the biggest Social Security Funds in Tanzania responsible for adjustments of organization's expenditure, overseeing revenue and administration of funds. Kaley has a significant range of experience in managing and coordinating a number of surveys and projects including the survey undertaken by University of Oxford on residential licence, and also assisted on the World Bank survey on Measuring living standard within cities - Dar es Salaam, Impact Evaluation of the DFID Programme EQUIP-T and many others.
Kaley Holds a master’s degree in international business, APM – PFQ (Association of Project Management – Project Fundamentals Qualification) Certificate, and a B-Com in Corporate Finance.
